Justice Assistance and the Brown University School of Public Health will present their second annual conference on criminal justice in Rhode Island on July 23, 2026, at the Brown University School of Public Health, 121 South Main St., Providence. The purpose of the conference is to promote cross‑sector collaboration, strengthen trauma‑informed practice, and advance strategies to reduce systemic bias in healthcare delivery for people who are justice‑impacted.
We aim to deepen understanding of the factors driving health inequities for people who are justice‑involved, equip providers with practical, bias‑reducing and trauma‑informed care approaches, and center the voices of those with lived experience to shape programs and policy. Our work focuses on advancing institutional and systemic reforms that reduce disparities, improve outcomes, and strengthen cross‑sector partnerships to support coordinated, patient‑centered care for justice‑involved and marginalized communities.
This program is Approved by the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) for 5.0 Continuing Education Units. While attendance is free, there will be a $30 charge to those seeking CEU's. Payment will be taken at the conference.
